Learn to Play the Piano Using iPad
You can get started with the basics, learn how to read notes, via the iPad. If you want to learn the piano, practice or play some songs, your iPad can serve as a wonderful addition to your digital piano / keyboard. There are several piano apps (available for iPhone & iPad) out there that you can use for piano learning & music discovery.
So you could learn to play the piano on an iPad to a certain extent. However, armed with those skills, you will not be able to just sit on any piano and start playing (if that is your intention, and that applies to any music instrument). You will need to get used to playing on a real piano eventually and spend years honing your skills & technique.
